Medieval Catapults

Who: Invented by a Greek task force and was described as a creation of mechanical arrow firing object.

What: A device that throws/hurls objects (ex. Rocks, stones, boulders) for a large distance without the power of any advanced technology such as explosives or electricity.

When: Medieval catapults were used around 8-7 BC, but were invented as early as 399 BC.

Where: Medieval catapults were invented in Greece and were used for defense of the walls of Jerusalem under the order of King Uzziah of Judah.

Why: Invented to use in The Second Sicilian War against Motya, a key Cartaginian stronghold in Sicily.
